Days out with Children
If you're thinking of taking your children to Spain for a holiday, here's a few ideas for day trips.
Almeria
Mini Hollywood
On the road between Almeria city and Tabernas, this theme park is built around an old film set for "Spaghetti Western" films.
A fantastic day out for all the family!

Aqua Parks
Parque Aquatico Vera, on the main road in Vera Costa and Mario Park in Roquetas del Mar.
Alicante
Go-Karts Orihuela Costa
A very decent looking go kart track just down the main road towards cartegena from Torrevieja. Children from 5 years and up catered for,
and prices start from 6E for an 8 minute spin.
Terra Mitica
A Paramount theme park in Benidorm. See the Terra Mitica website for more details.
Granada
Science Park
Recently enlarged to include 2 huge new exhibition halls, the Science Park in Granada is well worth a look. Located on the road to Armilla in Granada city, the park features all kinds of interactive exhibits.
Sierra Nevada
There is snow in the mountains from November to late June and most older children appreciate a look as long as you're not
staying too far away.
Aqua Parks
Two: One in Almuņecar (tel: 958634016) and the other in Cenes de la Vega on the way up to the Sierra Nevada (tel: 958486189). The Cenes park
closes for winter on the last weekend in August.
Malaga
Selwo
A huge wildlife park just off the main road between Marbella and Estepona. It is more of a zoo than a wildlife park really, but is worth visiting for
the fantastic bird valley, which you can walk through.
Aqua Parks
There are 2 large Aqua parks in Malaga - the Parque Acuatico Mijas (just off the bypass in Fuengirola - tel:952 460 404) and Aquapark
Torremolinos (also just off the bypass, in Torremolinos - tel:952388888) Both parks are expensive (12-15 Euros per person).
Tarragona
Port Aventura
A huge Universal Studios theme park. For more information see the Port Aventura website.
