It is typically Spanish to spend weekends on the mountains. Families go there to hike and to have a picnic.
Topwalks
http://www.topwalks.net/en/index.htm
is a free trekking guide to the Spanish national and nature parks with walks in Asturias, Cantabria, Aragon, Valencia and Andalusia. So far it has 200 routes, each with a detailed description, map, GPS waypoints, slide show, photos, driving instructions and a road map.
The site has also thousands of beautiful photographs, which give you an insight to the special features of the different parts of Spain, their landscapes, colours, vegetation etc. The photos are very helpful in the planning of your trekking holiday, and you can enjoy them, even if you do not have time for a vacation or trekking.
For those who are interested in plants, the photo gallery of some 1200 wild flowers is a real treat

The site features various photos from Spain holidays. Nice shots though it can be better if each photo has captions in them.
